A Few of Dale's Projects

Today, I am not posting things I am or have done, but bragging on what a talented husband I have:
This is the memory chest he made for one of our daughter-in-laws

Erik (my son) is responsible for the drawings My husband carved into the top and inside of the lid. After carving them he them filled them in inlace that is how the colors happened. Erik is on Patreon and would love for you to come and be one of his patrons; Patreon.com/neibaurart. He is very talented and this platform makes it possible for everyone to be patrons like the noblemen and rich of old, but it doesn't cost very much to  support a artist and help them create new works! Thanks for putting up with my promoting him, now back to your regularly scheduled blog!

This is one of 4 changing tables he has done for our grandkids. He designs them, figures out how to make them happen, buildings them, them carves and colors the pictures.

This is one of two beds he has made. This one is for our oldest granddaughter. That is her younger brother sitting on it. She told him what she wanted and he designed and built it. It has everything she asked for, plus plugs for charging things and LED color programable lights. He also Built a king bed for us with drawers under it also.

His favorite things to make are much smaller though. This box he built for one of our sons

again the top has been inlaced to get the colors in the picture

This is a box he did for himself. It is by our bed and holds his candy, just incase he gets hungry at night

This box is a multi level box he did

Again the top is carved and inlaced

As our youngest grandson (2) loves puzzles. Dale has done a few he can put together when they come to our house. The quarter is there to show the size.

This on is new and the kids have not gotten to put it together yet. I am interest to see what they think. Both this one and the last he colored on one side with Copic markers

This was the first puzzle he did. When he saw how much our youngest two grandkids like it, he made the two above.

He also carves for fun. This was one of his first carved pieces. After they are carved he paints them.

This one he says is his self portrait. Commemorating when he had a motorcycle.

This was one done for Halloween

Last fall he got into intarsia. That is using different woods to color projects.

He has made several mini ornaments. This one is an old style car.

The this bulldozer

And this train engine. The color in all of these is the natural wood colors.

He made a number or ornaments for Christmas last year and he let our kids and grandkids choose the ones they wanted right off our tree

several he did were mirror images of each other

This is the one he made for me. Isn't he so cute!

This last one is one of the few he did any coloring on. He wanted darker flower and leaves so those things he used a Copic marker o, but the centers of the flowers, the flame, and the candle itself are the natural colors of the wood!
Right now he is starting one of his "this has to be done" projects. Closet inserts for the bedrooms. We are changing the carpet in our bedrooms and took out the cheap wire closet organizers that were in them when we moved in and he wants nice ones instead.
