chocolate

These are awesome chocolate sculptures I have seem, I wish I could claim to have made them, but not so. I still wish to share them with you and hope you enjoy them.
The first five photo are of a huge chocolate fountain that is at a shop in the Bellagio in lasVegas. The fifth picture describes what it takes to run it, but it is fun to just watch.



 It has white chocolate, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate flowing

 this was this past Christmas display at the same shop that has the fountain. Yes, Santa is completely made of chocolate and life size.
Then we were through their in January they had changed to a Chinese theme and yes the tree is also 100% chocolate.

Next, the below pictures I took at the 2015 and 2016 Ghirardelli  exhibit at Epcot's food and wine festival down at Walt Disney World in Florida. The Chef from the different Disney resort and restaurants at Disney World do these for the exhibit. They are all totally made of chocolate.

Trees for the Festival

As it is almost the end of January, I felt that I should get myself in gear and finish my 2017 Christmas posts. Here is the process I went though this year for the two large trees and one small tree that I decorated for the Festival of Trees First I measured the spaces needed down in my basement game /family area. This tree required a 7x9 foot area and the other required a 9 by 14 foot area. Next I put the trees bag where I wanted to put the tree up in each space. Then I got my ornaments gathered. Next was assembling the trees and checking to make sure the lights worked, as they are always new trees, so far I have not had a problem with lights. Then I put some of the ornaments on, the tree topper on, and the tree skirt around it to check how I am planning it to look. Glass Blowing

In January I got the chance to go to Seattle with Dale, Scott, and Melody and we took a glass blowing class at Seattle Glass Blowing. I thought I would share with you a bit of what we did. First our instructor had us get to know the equipment we would be using for projects. These pictures are all of the first thing we did, which was a paper weight  Then the instructor got the beginning blob of molten glass from a special furnace with nothing but melted clear glass in ti. Then after he showed me how to heat it in an other oven, he let me try it my self. You always had to keep the pipe level and turn it. The glass looked a little like red taffy. If you were turning to slow it started to sag down and then you had to turn it until that piece leveled back out.  When it was molten enough we brought it over to these scoops filled with tiny glass pieces that looked like glitter. you pressed the hot glass into these glass pieces turning it so that they ...

Anime Expo Day Two

Well, Day Two has finished in the Artist Alley. It was a little slow starting in the morning, but by the end of the day I was at about the same total as yesterday. Almost have paid for my booth. I am enjoying the artist alley and the people around my area. Most of the people are very nice and willing to visit. This makes it very fun. The next couple of photo's are of some of the costumes I say as I was leaving the convention tonight. They were filming some of the best costumes for commercials I guess. It was just fun to see.
