sorting and separating

Well, I now have been trough all of my crafting things at least once.
This was what I had not gotten through yet. So yesterday I spent several hours going through it all.
The most time consuming was going through my jewelry supplies, 
 I decided I need to cut down what I was keeping by about 2/3.
 I ended up keeping about one bin of my favorite crystals and beads. I only kept those that we natural stones and that I could see as pieces of jewelry
Also I decided to cut down the silver components and golf filled components. This left me with about a box of supplies that filled a 18x18x18 box.
Below are other supplies that I admitted that I will probably never use. It is rather daunting to figure out what to do with all the things I am not going to use. I  kept anything that I felt I may still want to try!

 I am not giving up the Kumi, but these were all triplicates or ones I have. 
 I still have some origami stuff, but really how much will I really do?
 As I do not see me doing a great deal of this type of jewelry again I don't know why I would hold on to them.
 I have all these kits for leather projects. I am thinking maybe a scout group might want them?
 I am not even sure what I thought I would use this for
 metal sheets and paints  for them are also going
I as I sorted through things, I found I had several Styrofoam cutter.
All in all, I will be glad to find new homes for this stuff. I hope I can find someone who would like them, as I hate to just throw them away!

Trees for the Festival

As it is almost the end of January, I felt that I should get myself in gear and finish my 2017 Christmas posts. Here is the process I went though this year for the two large trees and one small tree that I decorated for the Festival of Trees First I measured the spaces needed down in my basement game /family area. This tree required a 7x9 foot area and the other required a 9 by 14 foot area. Next I put the trees bag where I wanted to put the tree up in each space. Then I got my ornaments gathered. Next was assembling the trees and checking to make sure the lights worked, as they are always new trees, so far I have not had a problem with lights. Then I put some of the ornaments on, the tree topper on, and the tree skirt around it to check how I am planning it to look. Glass Blowing

In January I got the chance to go to Seattle with Dale, Scott, and Melody and we took a glass blowing class at Seattle Glass Blowing. I thought I would share with you a bit of what we did. First our instructor had us get to know the equipment we would be using for projects. These pictures are all of the first thing we did, which was a paper weight  Then the instructor got the beginning blob of molten glass from a special furnace with nothing but melted clear glass in ti. Then after he showed me how to heat it in an other oven, he let me try it my self. You always had to keep the pipe level and turn it. The glass looked a little like red taffy. Anime Expo Day Two

Well, Day Two has finished in the Artist Alley. It was a little slow starting in the morning, but by the end of the day I was at about the same total as yesterday. Almost have paid for my booth. I am enjoying the artist alley and the people around my area. Most of the people are very nice and willing to visit. This makes it very fun. The next couple of photo's are of some of the costumes I say as I was leaving the convention tonight. They were filming some of the best costumes for commercials I guess. It was just fun to see.
